  • Familiarise Yourself with Recent News:
    • Stay updated on the company’s latest news, achievements, and challenges. Mentioning these during the interview demonstrates your genuine interest.

2. Prepare Your Answers to Common Interview Questions:

  • Practice answers to common interview questions such as "Tell me about yourself," "Why do you want to work here?" and "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"

  • Behavioural Questions - Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to answer behavioral questions effectively. Provide concrete examples from your past experiences.

3. Showcase Your Skills and Achievements:

  • Tailor Your Responses - Highlight your skills and experiences that directly relate to the job description. Provide specific examples of your accomplishments.

  • Quantify Your Achievements - Whenever possible, use numbers and metrics to quantify your achievements (e.g "I increased sales by 20% over six months").

4. Ask Insightful Questions:

  • About the Role:
    • Ask questions that show your interest in the role and the team, such as "Can you describe a typical day for someone in this position?" or "What are the biggest challenges facing the team right now?"

  • About the Company:
    • Inquire about the company's culture, growth opportunities, and future plans. This demonstrates that you are thinking long-term and are interested in the company’s success.

5.Demonstrate Enthusiasm and Fit:

  • Positive Attitude: - Maintain a positive attitude and show enthusiasm for the role and the company.
    • Smile, make eye contact, and use body language that conveys confidence.

  • Cultural Fit - Highlight how you align with the company culture.
    • Mention any experiences or values you have that resonate with the company’s environment and ethos.

6.Follow Up After the Interview:

  • If possible and you have a direct route.  Send a Thank You Email - Send a thank-you email within 24 hours of the interview.
    • Express your appreciation for the opportunity to interview and reiterate your enthusiasm for the role.
    • Personalise Your Message: Mention specific points discussed during the interview to show that you were engaged and are genuinely interested in the position.

By thoroughly preparing and demonstrating your genuine interest and enthusiasm, you’ll increase your chances of making a positive impression and securing the job.
